The Department of Psychological Science invites applications for a one-year, limited term adjunct professor position for the 2025-2026 academic year with a specialty in social, developmental, or biological psychology.

The Department of Psychological Science at Carthage College thrives on community.

The candidate will be joining a rich psychology program with a deep focus on the science of psychology.

Research methods and statistics are thoughtfully integrated throughout the curriculum.

Students leave our program equipped with a skillset that allows them to succeed both in graduate programs and in careers that are not directly related to psychology.

Psychology is also a popular major for students pursuing occupational therapy.

Responsibilities: Teach six courses per year (divided across two semesters), including courses in their area of specialization and a team-taught course in Introduction to Psychological Science.

Qualifications: Applicants must have a Ph.D.

or Psy.D.

in psychology (awarded by their start date) and some college-level teaching experience.
