Job Description:
Join the Space team and work with products supporting; Launch vehicles (Atlas, Delta, SLS), satellites, and ground support. Work with a wide variety of Electronic products ranging from RF Transmitters and Receivers to Data Acquisition. Our amazing people are on a mission to make a difference in the world by solving the most challenging missions in space.
This role will involve working from engineering drawings, written test procedures, and process specifications. In this role you will electrically test assemblies for functionality and workmanship screening.
Essential Functions:
Set up test benches per diagrams and schematics.
Follow appropriate test equipment / safety procedures.
Complete datasheets and review test data. Compile data packs with delivery finished products.
Maintain status of assigned program(s) while ensuring documentation is accurate.
Troubleshoot test failures with the use of schematics.
Maintain equipment at workstations. Ensure equipment is in calibration.
Work with support teams to ensure assembly operations are correct.
Conduct environmental testing of products, including use of thermal chambers and support vibration events.
Work across functions on new product development and continuous improvement.
Skilled and trained in use of test equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve.
Ability to follow test procedures and test diagrms.
Ability of working individually and in a team-oriented environment.
Strong written and interpersonal skills with comfortability communicating with customrs and across other disciplines of the organization.
Strong planning/organizational skills with ability to prioritize work assignments.
Technical knowledg and skill in toubleshootng down to the component level.
Troubleshooting analog and digitally.
Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience in the testing of electronics.
Knowledge of the operation of power supplies.
Experience working on DMM and generators.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience woking with Spectrum Analyzers and Network Analyzers.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Prolonged standing.
Must be able to move from lab to lab and inside the lab that you are located in.
