Job Description:
L3Harris Space Systems is seeking a Program Manager for the Space Defense Solutions (SDS) Business Area. We are looking for a program manager who will be responsible for successful program execution, customer satisfaction, and financial performance in this high-performance business area. The Program Manager leads the execution of all phases of programs from start-up to delivery for customers. By drawing upon technical development and project management experience, the Program Manager develops strategies to influence programmatic direction and enable both program and business success. In this position, the Program Manager will communicate directly with customers, leadership, and cross-functional program teams. Opportunities for problem solving and innovation are regularly complex, requiring broad-based consideration of variables that impact multiple areas of the organization.
Essential Functions:
Accountable for overall program performance commitments to include:
Customer Satisfaction: Continually delighting our customers with our values, responsiveness, and overall mission performance
Financial: Orders, sales, operating income, investment, cash flow, budget, and reserve forecasting and execution
Schedule: Timely, responsive, and successful completion of all program activities (informal) and deliverables (formal)
Quality: Program deliverables meet or exceed L3Harris and customer expectations
Responsible for managing the cost, schedule, and technical performance requirements of a program through all lifecycle phases
Identifies program risks and creates opportunities to manage the operational impacts
Responsible for program change management, controlling program performance measurement baseline of cost, schedule, and performance
Develops, reviews, and approves plans, schedules, subcontract agreements, and other program documents
Coordinates and monitors supplier activities, deliverables, and finances, and aligns supplier performance with L3Harris business financial performance
Ensures that all resources such as engineering, manpower, production, and facilities are available to support the program
Ensures clear understanding and communication of program status, changes, and performance to the Customer and L3Harris leadership
Prepares and provides reports, briefings, and technical reviews to the Customer and L3Harris leadership
Develop program and adjacent growth opportunities to meet strategic business objectives for the product line or portfolio
Leads the preparation of program proposals, proposal scope, budget and expenditure plans, and financial terms of contract
Travel occasionally to customer or supplier locations in the Washington DC area or to other domestic US locations
Qualifications:
Active TOP SECRET/SCI Security Clearance
Must be able to obtain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC)
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience; OR, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience; OR, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
CI Polygraph desired
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal skills for both internal and external customers
Experience with ground-based development programs
Experience with classified govt. customers
Possess PMI Program Management Professional (PMP) certification, desired but not required
Experience managing technology development program(s)
Knowledge managing cross disciplined workforce of approximately 15+
Familiarity managing subcontractors and suppliers in a performance-based environment
Experience with Earned Value Management
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State is $90,500-$168,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
