Lifeguards - Cheyenne YMCA (WY)

The Cheyenne Family YMCA has openings for Lifeguards. Our guards serve as advocates for the safety and wellbeing of our members and guests, and you will ensure that the Y's pools are a friendly, welcoming environment for all to play, learn and build confidence in the water.

Salary range: $15-$17/ hour based on experience. In addition, we provide a +10% differential for opening shifts.

Responsibilities

Advocate for the safety and wellbeing of our members and guests, and keep our Y's pool a friendly, welcoming environment for all to play, learn and build confidence in the water.

Ensure the safety of participants while they are in or near the pool or hot tub

General maintenance and cleanliness of the pool, water testing and general problem-solving

Relate positively to a variety of people including other staff, members, program participants, and children

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum of 16 years of age

Current ARC/YMCA Lifeguard, First Aid, AED, Emergency Oxygen and CPR-PR Certifications

Professional, alert, courteous, and tactful

Blood Borne Pathogens within 30 days of being hired
