Position Summary
As Warehouse Operations Specialist, your role will involve developing effective procedures as identified by your Leadership Team for managing and maintaining inventory. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of shipments through inventory counting processes. Additionally, you will oversee and manage the storage space in the warehouse to accommodate new product shipments.
Your duties will extend to training others in various areas such as, Cycle Counts, receiving deliveries, preparing outgoing shipments, tracking and communicating shipments, overseeing the ordering and tracking of Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) items, as well as continuously monitoring inventory levels.
When inventory levels start to deplete, you will be responsible for placing restock orders based on established reorder points to ensure essential inventory items are always available. To facilitate efficient inventory management, you will utilize management software systems to update and maintain inventory records.
Collaboration with the Procurement Team is crucial in your role. You will work closely together to ensure timely reception of ordered inventory, inspect shipments for any issues and regularly update inventory files or databases for smoother inventory tracking. To be successful in the role, you are an absolute rock star to maintain shipment records in electronic files or databases with ease, and ensure all products and materials flow timely throughout the building - flawlessly.

Warehouse Operations Specialist Duties and Responsibilities include
Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments and verify quantity, rates, accuracy, etc.
Train others on how to document necessary paperwork to ensure receipt of inventory
Receive incoming shipments and prepare outgoing shipments
Coordinate shipment pick ups with carriers as needed
Prepare and maintain shipping paperwork, records, electronic reports and databases
Teach others to track shipments details, locations, ETAs
Report shipping concerns, tracking packages, lost or damaged items, etc to leadership immediately
Coordinate inter-company shipments to other locations
Perform Pack Jacket operations
Fulfill Runner's station duties
Ensuring that company and team goals, deadlines, and performance standards are communicated, met, and achieved on a regular (often quarterly) basis
Train and onboard new associates to make sure they understand their roles
Setting individual goals and making sure they align with the company’s plans and vision
Reporting, suggesting, and implementing processes to reduce costs, increase efficiencies, etc
Performing additional duties as needed
Warehouse Operations Specialist Duties and Responsibilities pertaining to MRO items include:
Oversee inventory and order additional products and supplies when needed
Maintain defined Min/Max levels for MRO and sellable inventory levels at all times
Work with cross functional team members to determine forecasts to determine defined Min/Max levels for MRO inventory levels on a monthly basis
Teach others to order, track, monitor and report product inventory and MRO levels regularly
Requirements
Warehouse Operations Specialist Requirements include
Associate’s degree in supply chain, transportation, logistics, business, or related field, preferred, but not required
High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required
At least five (5+) years of experience in logistics, warehousing or a related role required
Advanced computer skills, including Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and MS Excel, specifically pivots, graphs, etc.
Forklift and/or pallet jack certification required
Highly collaborative, with a positive, “solutions-oriented” attitude where you don’t just raise the issue, you also bring potential solutions to fix it
Above-average understanding and general knowledge of production procedures
General awareness and acceptance of Lean Six Sigma methodology
i.e. Yellow or Green Belt Certification is a huge plus!
