This position is eligible to receive a $20,000 Sign-On Bonus.

- Set days - 3 X 12 shifts

- Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - 7:00 pm to 7:30 am

- Holiday and call responsibilities required

Job Description Summary:

Schedules and performs diagnostic imaging procedures on pediatric patients using various ultrasound and related equipment.

Job Description:

Essential Functions:

Prepares patients and procedures in accordance with regulatory guidelines and policies. Represents the department’s customer service focus for all contacts.

Utilizes training and knowledge to modify orders, prepares documentation for procedures, manipulates imaging data prescribed, reviews images for accuracy, and initiates networking of equipment.

Operates, maintains, and programs varied imaging equipment. Utilizes electronic information devices, determines correct anatomic area for imaging, adjusts equipment factors as necessary, and assists Radiologists or other physicians in ultrasound guided interventional procedures.

Assists in collecting and monitoring QA projects within the section. Mentors and monitors new employees or rotating students.

Performs procedures for research and testing. Assists in documenting and maintaining research information.

Maintains knowledge of current applications in the field through seminars, educational programs, and self-study.

Education Requirement:

Graduate of an accredited school for Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or ARRT sonography certified, required.

Licensure Requirement:

Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in ABD, or OB, or ARRT (S), required.

Registered in Vascular (RVT or ARRT (VS) within 18-24 months of hire date, required.

Certifications:

BLS certification, required.

Skills:

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Experience:

Experience in a pediatric ultrasound setting preferred.
