Description:

As our Gate Attendant, you will greet all visitors, vendors, and contractors and direct them to their destinations. You obtain pertinent information from each guest entering the community, and handout promotional materials to prospective guests. You will also be working with golf carts on a daily basis.

This position may require flexible scheduling availability.

Requirements:

Greet all visitors, vendors, and contractors, directing them to their destinations

Obtain name, license plate number, phone number, and email address of each guest entering the community

Note all unusual occurrences on the daily log sheet

Hand-out promotional material to prospective guests

Answer the telephone courteously and record pre-call visitor information appropriately

Submit maintenance requests for golf cart issues such as broken windshields, flat tires, and other problems as needed

Greet and register late arriving guests, if applicable

Check buildings, turn off lights, and lock doors and gates as directed

Power wash/move golf carts for guests

Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

License Required

Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet

Flexibility to work events during non-business hours

Strong communication and customer service skills

Ability to read maps

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
