Duties and Responsibilities
To collaborate with a diverse team of analysts and end users to design and build EDW artifacts, such as reports and dashboards, using the Tableau, PowerBI and SAP Business Objects. To perform both analyst and developer responsibilities as needed. To perform highly complex analysis and design across multiple database platforms and technologies. To identify, describe and define BI problems and requirements from across the organization.
Job Duties
· Develop the backend data marts for analytics projects using stored procedures to pull data from disparate data sources in the health system.
· Develop reports, dashboards and scorecards for the departments of quality, patient safety, clinical effectiveness, and others, using the business intelligence platform.
· Occasionally construct complex workflows using Informatica IICS to move data around the organization as needed.
· Manage existing code sets for previously deployed projects to ensure they are producing validated datasets.
· Serve as a liaison between technical team and clinical personnel in order to best gauge their needs.
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field and six (6) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
Preferred Skills
· 5+ years of SQL, PL/SQL and/or TSQL experience in an Oracle or SQL Server setting including performance tuning with standard data warehouse methodologies.
· Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI and/or BusinessObjects.
· Experience developing ETL workflows in an enterprise tool such as Informatica PowerCenter or IICS.
· Experience in a programming language such as Python, C#, or Java is a plus but not required.
· Microsoft Fabric and Azure data tools development experience is a plus but not required.
· Agile, Scrum, DevOps and/or Kanban development experience is a plus but not required.
· Healthcare experience is a plus but not required.
