Job Title: Machinist
Job Description
The machinist will be responsible for machining gears, pulleys, gauges, threaded products, and valves primarily for agricultural customers. The role involves working within a smaller shop environment, setting up and operating CNC machines, including lathe live tooling machines and twin spindles with a bar feeder. Experience with Swiss Mill/Lathe machines is also desirable as the work involves high volume production for customers, including some aerospace industry projects.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machines.
Run lathe live tooling machines and twin spindles with a bar feeder.
Execute 2-4 setups per week on average.
Edit programs and understand code to facilitate CNC setup.
Manage tool lists and tool blocks, perform tool changes, and prove out programs.Essential Skills
2-5 years of CNC lathe experience.
Proficiency in setup and programming.
Understanding of tolerances, machining, milling, lathe operations, and blueprint reading.
Familiarity with G&M codes, Okuma, and mechatronics.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Manual machining experience is a plus.
Experience with Swiss lathes and bar-fed machines.
Knowledge of Haas, Gibbscam, Mastercam, and troubleshooting skills.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is a smaller custom shop with approximately 10-11 team members across two shifts. The weekend shift runs Friday to Sunday, offering 12-hour shifts with a 36-hour week paid as 40 hours. A weekday shift is available from Monday to Thursday with 10-hour days. The shop is undergoing organizational changes, fostering a no-nonsense atmosphere focused on productivity and efficiency.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $83200.00/yr.

Full-time
