Summary

Under the responsibility of the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising, coordinating and overseeing the warehouse operations and providing coaching, development, and training to the staff members. The successful candidate must be able to provide recommendations for improvements to the facility, equipment, machinery, and processes. They will be accountable that the staff is performing to standard and has to ensure that progress is made to achieve the business objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

Manage and continuously review bin locations with an analyst.

Timely and effective communication of stock out and bin location issues.

Check and authorize cycle counts with warehouse team.

Establish work schedules and procedures and coordinate activities of the workers to ensure optimal shift/team logistics.

Train associates on any/all systems used for completion of assignments.

Accountable for site Key Performance Indication (KPI)

Communicate with each department manager of anything relating to their area that is affecting the warehouse.

Continuously review and adhere to all warehousing and handling requirements.

Attend and actively participate in scheduled meetings.

Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents etc.

Ensure effective and safe use of the warehouse equipment.

Participate in monthly review of product allocation and discontinuation.

Complete and maintain a 5s warehouse.

Education and/or Experience

Requires 2-3 years of related experience; or an associate degree and 5 years of progressively responsible related experience or a combination of both.

High level of computer literacy, to include Word, Excel and Outlook

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to work with others

Ability to complete purchase orders, schedules and assigned reports.

While performing the duties and responsibilities of this position, the employee is occasionally required to sit. He/she will regularly walk, talk and listen, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and reach above shoulders and he/she will frequently stand, use hands to finger, handle or touch, use foot/feet to operate machine and move from place to place. Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

During the performance of his/her work duties regularly lift up to 50 pounds and will frequently lift up to 25 pounds, such as removing materials from shipping containers.

The employee works in a warehouse environment and is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, work in high places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is loud.
