Commercial Property Case Officer

Worcester based with a balance of home and office working

£32,244 per year

35 hours per week

Temporary position for up to 12 months

We have an opportunity for a Commercial Property Case Officer to join our Commercial Estates team, based in Worcester. The Commercial Estates team manage a variety of property related legal case work, being a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. The team are responsible for overseeing a wide range of property related matters, including leasehold property portfolio, property disposals by way of auction and requests for easements and wayleaves. Main duties for this role will include managing a varied case load including lease negotiations in relation to granting new and renewal commercial leases, acquisitions of leased properties and handbacks, property and land disposals, and keeping the lease management systems up to date.

The role of Commercial Property Case Officer will include:

Assisting in the negotiation and investigation of property related enquiries, disposals and acquisitions

Providing knowledge and advice to the company on landlord and tenant matters including lease negotiations for commercial leases, acquisitions and lease surrenders

Providing assistance to action rent reviews and serving relevant notices in line with company policies and procedures

Undertaking property legal interest case work around the company’s property portfolio in a timely manner, thus ensuring the stock remains fit for purpose and delivers value for money

Providing accurate and timely advice to all Stakeholders with regards to the company's leasehold property portfolio

Supporting the management, development and implementation of effective systems and processes that enable the efficient delivery of strategic property advice and support to the company

Skills and experiences:

Some experience working in a commercially focussed asset management role

Some experience of undertaking legal case work relating to property including lease interpretation

Proficient user of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams

Degree, management qualification or relevant professional qualification

Report writing
