Position Description:
Evergreen Energy Partners is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist to support critical functions within our Finance Department. This entry-level role provides an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain foundational experience in accounts receivable and financial operations. The Billing Specialist will play a key role in ensuring accurate client billing, expense reporting, and employee data maintenance within our ERP system.

Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable:
Generate and issue accurate monthly invoices to client accounts.
Assist in tracking overdue payments and resolve outstanding issues through communication with clients.
Support the Controller by maintaining clean and timely A/R reporting.
Employee Expense Reports:
Perform initial review and approval of employee-submitted expense reports, referring to company guidelines.
Answer policy and coding questions from employees and provide documentation clarifications and support.
Timecard Approval:
Oversee timecard data entry and reporting, approving for accuracy and timeliness.
Approve and escalate timekeeping discrepancies as necessary.
Coordinate with managers to ensure compliance with reporting deadlines.
Employee Updates in ERP:
Implement employee adjustments as needed.
Train new employees on time and expense, according to company guidelines
Internal Customer Service:
Act as a liaison between the finance team and other departments.
Facilitate cross-functional communications, requests, and adjustments under the guidance of the direct supervisor.
Address concerns regarding expenses, timecards, other intake issues, escalating them to HR or Finance leadership as appropriate.
Position Qualifications:
Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedules.
Must take ownership of the work, do what is required and follow through on all expectations.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Self-starter who is highly detail-oriented, organized, and goal-focused.
Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office software programs, including Adobe Acrobat and/or Blue Beam, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Proficient in basic math skills.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Bachelor or associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Proven experience in accounting or a similar role.
Strong proficiency in ERP systems (Deltek Vantagepoint a Plus) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Other Requirements:
We are a fully remote telecommuting organization, virtual experience preferred but not required.
Must be located in the Portland, OR/Vancouver, WA metro area.
Drug test must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
