JOB DESCRIPTION
Hurst & Siebert is a Commercial General Contractor specializing in luxury retail ground-up and tenant improvements. We are seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our team and help maintain our reputation for delivering top-tier execution, on-time project completion, and expertly managed budgets. The ideal candidate will manage the project from its inception through preconstruction, mobilization, demo, rough ins, finishes, punch, handover, and close out.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage information processes to include RFIs, submittals, procurement, weekly reports, schedules, drawings, SKs, deferred permitting, and more.
Ensure quality control of information and execution of details on site
Proactively prepare, qualify, consolidate, and issue information to the field for execution
Head up communication with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontract management teams.
Efficiently manage budgets to ensure client visibility and approval, subcontractor satisfaction, and fair and reasonable profitability
Build and manage master schedules that properly reflects the logistics and sequence required for maximum efficiency, buildability, and meeting deliverable keystone dates
Cultivate and maintain a positive partnership with superintendents to create quality lines of internal communication
Manage subcontractor and client change order requests, qualifications, and negotiations
Delegate tasks to the administrative team for processing PM qualified information
· Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks to the project and make sound decisions under pressure.
· Lead and motivate project teams by fostering collaboration and resolving conflicts.
Maintain open and transparent communication with clients including regular progress updates, issue, delays, etc.
Ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards.
Ensure that all project activities are completed and that project deliverables are handed off to the appropriate parties.
Mitigate risk on both site execution and information being processed
Lead site safety communications
Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including active listening and the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
Understand financial principles and the ability to manage project budgets effectively.
High level of personal organization
Work well under pressure and tight/shifting timelines
Strong attention to detail
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Projects and Outlook
Proficient in Procore
Accurate and timely in completing tasks
Ability to coordinate multiple projects
Willingness to collaborate and go the extra mile
2+ years as a Construction Project Manager with high end luxury retail experience.
OSHA 30
Traveling for site visits may be required
