Machine Operator – 2nd Shift

Location: Carmel, IN

Pay: Up to $16.40/hour

Shift: 2nd Shift

Job Summary:

A leading manufacturing company in the Carmel area is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Machine Operator to join their 2nd shift production team. This role involves operating equipment, supporting production processes, and maintaining quality and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Follow written and visual work instructions, including Process Control Instructions, Bill of Materials, and standard operating procedures.

Operate machinery and equipment related to coating, curing, or finishing of components.

Load and unload materials on the production line or conveyor system.

Monitor and perform basic adjustments to machines as needed for quality and efficiency.

Conduct visual inspections to ensure products meet quality specifications.

Accurately report labor hours and production data to supervisors.

Assist in other production areas, including assembly, as needed.

Follow all safety, 5S, and housekeeping standards on a daily basis.

Communicate any issues with equipment or workflow to the team lead or supervisor promptly.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.

1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing, machine operation, or coating environment preferred.

Ability to read and interpret production documentation.

Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
