Job Description

Manage, supervise, and lead a team of 5-6 warehouse personnel. The ideal Warehouse Supervisor must have the ability to manage multiple tasks, supervise team members, and lead/inspire the team. Additionally, collaboration with the store's Sales Manager, Service Coordinator, the Buyer and Showroom Designer, and back office staff is necessary to accomplish store's goals.

Pay includes Salary plus performance-oriented bonuses.

Job Expectations:

Maintain the Warehouse and Driver staff (4-6) by recruiting, inspiring, and developing team members who perform job expectations well.

Accomplish results by communicating job expectations during morning huddle meetings, and following up with live, on the spot correction and guidance of team members on a daily basis.

Implement operations and procedures to optimize: 1. Warehouse Receiving, Storage, and Delivery (warehouse organization and flow); 2. Staging and Shipping; 3. Equipment Utilization (vehicle, lift assets, cardboard baler, etc.)

Accomplish financial objectives by operating within Warehouse Budget provided by management.

Maintain high standards of service to both internal and external customers by enforcing quality standards, analyzing processes, and making changes when necessary.

Resolving quality and service issues, and implementing system improvement.

Oversight and operation of bar-coding scanners and computer operations as they pertain to product movement.

Coordination of on-site furniture repairs.

Maintain safe and motivated warehouse environment.

Oversee warehouse equipment and assets.

Oversee grounds and building maintenance.

Work with Buyer to open, assemble and set product to the showroom to maximize selling potential.

Accomplish other tasks that are assigned by management.

Service Call and Repairs:

Work with Service Coordinator to ensure customers are serviced in a timely manner.

Inspect all inbound replacement product and inform Service Coordinator.

If necessary, send a member of the warehouse team to conduct service call.

Receiving:

Ensure team is proficient using Batch Bar Code scanners.

Inspect inbound product.

Process inbound product using the approved packing list.

Ensure packing slips and Bills of Ladings (BOL) are given to the proper internal customer.

Process UPS/FEDEX orders.

Store product in assigned location.

Implement process to ensure product is managed when there is a delay in the receiving process.

Shipping/Delivery:

Oversight and coordination of in-home deliveries.

Pull outbound product for customers' orders.

Inspect shipments.

Load vehicle.

Ensure document is given to the proper internal customer.

Confirm vehicle route and stops.

Confirm communication with vehicle driver.

Communication effectively with external customer service.

Process return to vendors (RTVs) for damaged, wrong, etc. product.

Process less than a truckload (LTL) to distant customers.

Process charitable donations and ensure necessary tax documents are processed.

Facility/Vehicle Maintenance:

Ensure showroom, bathrooms, elevator, and common areas are clean.

Ensure lawn is maintained.

Conduct monthly elevator inspection.

Ensure fire extinguishers and emergency lights are inspected monthly.

Ensure minor repairs are fixed.

Ensure company vehicles remain serviced at all times.

Ensure the cardboard baler is operational and cardboard bales are recycled.

Ensure the order picker is serviceable and safe.Company Description
