Salary: A competitive salary from £33,040 – £37,500 depending on the experience you can bring

An opportunity has arisen for an Analyst to join our 1st line IT Risk & Control Team. Reporting to the IT Risk & Control Manager, in this role you will play a vital role in delivering initiatives designed to transform and elevate IT Risk and Control in Aegon.
You will work to embed first line risk & control responsibilities and accountability across IT, ensuring adherence to all Risk and Control frameworks and policies.
You will have the opportunity to gain a deep understanding of how a financial services technology function operates, from infrastructure to innovation. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely and be mentored by senior colleagues and will be empowered to influence business outcomes through data led insights, helping shape how we manage risk and deliver value through technology.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supporting the IT teams to ensure risks and controls are recorded and managed appropriately.
Developing and delivering effective risk reporting and management information.
Overseeing IT Risk Events ensuring that first line responsibilities are being met and collating information required for reporting.
Maintain a view of key dates for risk reporting providing awareness to key stakeholders so that dates are met.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
Strong skills in Power BI, Excel, and SQL, with a desire to apply them in a real-world business environment.
Experience in building effective relationships with key stakeholders.
A strong interest in technology risk and a basic understanding of how risks can impact IT systems and services.
A genuine curiosity about technology and how it supports business operations.
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to challenge and influence where appropriate.
