Qualifications required:
Must be a self-motivated starter and comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly growing customer base.
Four year degree in Engineering ( Plastics, Mechanical, or Chemical )
Understanding of Electro-mechanical principles and practices
Must have the ability to work well with others
Must be able to prepare presentations for customers and management
AutoCAD proficiency
Must be able to set up and develop testing procedures and be able to analyze data
Must be able to adjust to a fast paced always changing landscape
Essential functions and responsibilities:
Interfaces with shop floor employees to effectively define problems at hand and to identify process variables, inputs and outputs ultimately arriving at root cause
Set-up design of experiments for process development
New Product implementation and help develop testing procedures (such as new films, new suppliers, new resins, etc)
Uses mistake proof strategies to arrive at process/problem resolution
Effective communicator with the shop floor on all shifts to create awareness and provide training related to process improvements
Complies with Quality System as required
Establishes manufacturing standard operating procedures
Set-up tests and trials, organize and collect the data and be able to analyze the data and present the results to management and or customer
Establishes and maintains training documentation for operating personnel
Work With customers on testing new products, ensuring they have the right products for what they are filling into the pouches
Work with maintenance and manufacturing engineering on machine set-ups
Report any potential food safety, quality of food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel
Maintain product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and quality systems
Must Follow All Company Policies and Procedures
Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices

Work environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee is/or may be exposed to high noise levels that require hearing protection. Employee may also be required to wear safety glasses and/or safety gloves.
