ESSENTIAL FUNCTION/DUTY:
Description of Duties:
The Accounting Clerk will provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:
· Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
· Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
· Help with daily time management
· Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
· Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
· Provide assistance and support to company personnel
· Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
· Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
· Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
· Constantly update job knowledge
· Ensuring compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures
· Complying with all company, local, state, and federal accounting and financial regulations
· Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data
· Creating periodic reports, such as balance sheets and profit & loss statements
· Presenting data to managers, investors, and other entities
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
At least three years’ of accounting firm experience supporting and working with at-risk and street involved individuals, and developing individualized plans for in-risk population’ including awareness of trauma reactions
Familiarity with accounting and basic accounting procedures
Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
Accuracy and attention to detail
Aptitude for numbers
Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
Data entry and word processing skills
Well organized
Associate’s degree or relevant certification is a plus
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
· No pending criminal cases
· Drug screening and background check is required prior to being hired
· Flexible schedule - This position is full-time and could require night and weekend hours

· Candidate must have their own vehicle, valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance and good driving record

· Ability to understand and follow safety/security practices and work in high pressure situations
