Job Title: Senior Machine Repair and Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Machine Repair and Facilities Maintenance Technician with a strong background in, pneumatics, electrical, and hydraulic systems. This role is essential to maintaining optimal equipment performance and minimizing downtime in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical expertise, hands-on experience, and a proactive approach to diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues. Will supervise 2-3 maintenance techs in support of our single site one shift operation.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues on production machinery.
Lead troubleshooting of gearboxes, conveyors, motors, drives, pumps, and control systems.
Install, maintain, and repair mechanical components (e.g., bearings, shafts, seals) and electrical systems (e.g., motors, VFDs, sensors).
Interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
Supervise and Mentor junior technicians in maintenance procedures and best practices.
Monitor equipment and manage preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
Ensure buildings and grounds systems are operational and well-maintained.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams on process improvements.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and company policies.
Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
20+ years of experience in industrial machinery maintenance and repair.
Expertise in mechanical systems: drives, gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems: motor controls, VFDs, sensors, control panels.
Proficient with diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters
Skilled in reading schematics and mechanical drawings.
Experience with CMMS platforms.
Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance (e.g., LOTO, OSHA).
Preferred Qualifications
Journeyman Electrician or tool and die or millwright certification.
Experience with punch press machines and industrial machining.
Familiarity with PLCs and basic automation troubleshooting.
Background in high-volume manufacturing environments.
Comfortable commute to Naperville location
Working Conditions
Exposure to mechanical and electrical systems, loud noise, and industrial settings.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined or elevated spaces.
On-call availability and occasional weekend/overtime work required.
Pay
$95,000 - $115,000 Salary based on experience.
