Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial management, including accounting, regulatory reporting, and compliance with GAAP standards. This role requires a strategic thinker and a detail oriented personality with strong leadership capabilities to guide the finance team in achieving organizational goals.

Duties

Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

Manage the general ledger accounting process, including month-end close activities.

Supervise payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees.

Handle sales tax compliance; experience with Avalara software helpful

Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support decision-making.

Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, providing variance analysis and recommendations.

Skills

Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices.

Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Excel

In-depth knowledge of financial concepts including GAAP compliance, and regulatory reporting.

Expertise in general ledger accounting practices.

Experience managing payroll systems effectively; specifically Paychex experience is helpful

Ability to oversee accounts payable processes efficiently.

Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.

Strong communication skills for collaboration across departments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
