Job Summary
This position is responsible to maximize resources and capabilities through prioritizing, planning, scheduling, and scoping of maintenance work orders. Plans and coordinates corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance work, project support, and tasks in support of normal operations to meet priority demands, and long and short-term project goals.
Acts as a liaison between maintenance and operations to coordinate the completion of work orders, preventative maintenance work orders, or any vendor work in affected areas. Role works to minimize disruption while increasing team productivity by creating clear procedures for maintaining equipment and facilities within the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
Schedule maintenance via work orders allowing for maximum efficiency and in compliance with all safety regulations.
Ensure quality of CMMS data.
Assist in tracking, reviewing and analyzing KPI’s.
Have knowledge of equipment and maintenance requirements.
Adjust and improve PM’s and WO’s utilizing feedback from technicians.
Maintain backlog with assistance from supervisors.
Coordinate the review of work backlog with production and maintenance personnel to ensure that all work is appropriately prioritized, planned, scheduled, and executed.
Provide time, resource, and cost estimates for work to be performed. Support the preparation of bid documents as necessary.
Ordering and kitting of materials for specific jobs.
Attend and participate in daily and weekly direction setting meetings.
Manage scheduling system development.
Schedule contractors as required and oversee completion of assigned contractors to meet company and department manager expectations.
Maintain parts inventory.
Minimum Qualifications
Technical School/Associate degree and 3-5 years of experience or equivalent experience required.
3-5 years maintenance experience, to include working knowledge about: 3-phase motor control and power distribution, hydraulics, PLCs, pneumatics, refrigeration, steam systems, reading and understanding machine manuals, reading schematics and blueprints, and following CMMS process and protocol. Experience in a Lean manufacturing environment a plus.
Previous diagnostic/troubleshooting and preventative maintenance in a GMP food and beverage facility preferred.
Basic knowledge of Food Safety, GMP’s and a requisite HAACP program.
Strong computer skills using Microsoft word, Excel, and PowerPoint. AutoCAD preferred.
Selected candidate must be willing to work any and all shifts, weekends when necessary to cover the needs of the business.
