Logistics and Planning Specialist
The Logistics and Planning Specialist is a key team member on Hong Kong and Macau’s Logistics and Inventory Planning Team, who manages 3PL’s warehousing service, internal and shop replenishment and transportation, customers’ delivery arrangement and enhancement, inventory planning and portfolio management and product data management through cloud-based inventory management. The role requires ability and knowledge to achieve efficient operations. This position plays a role in ensuring that the Logistics and Inventory Planning group meets internal and external customer needs and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Vendor Liaison:
Monitor 3PLs on the daily warehouse operation and transportation service to ensure that inventory storage and distribution are running smoothly and to contribute departments KPI
Coordinate with 3PL to perform monthly stock take or bi-weekly cycle count inventories by using inventory system and resolve/report stock balance discrepancies. Address root causes of inaccuracies as they are identified.
Work with vendors to verify vendor billings, check payment requests and submit for approval in accordance with company’s guideline.
Inventory Oversight:
Monitor real-time inventory level for all internal and external sales channels including retails stores, E-commerce channels and third-party vendors’ platform to proceed stock replenishment or product return in accordance with SOP guidelines to secure required inventories in the timeliest and most cost-effective manner.
Maintain database accuracy and review retailing replenishment method regularly
Orders Management:
Monitor and track delivery parcels using multiple technical systems and effectively communicate with internal customers and the service providers regarding expected delivery times and delays.
Partner with key internal collaborators to ensure receipt and delivery of stocks and provide clear communication and information to the customers to drive exceptional experience.
Product Data and Information Execution
Partner with Marketing and Finance Team to maintain price setting and sales status for existing items, new products and product phase-outs at inventory system.
Prepare various reports by using MS Excel and Power BI and presentation by PowerPoint
Operational Excellence:
Support corporate or regional headquarter initiatives and assist with any special and/or adhoc projects assignments as required
Ensure compliance and audit with established internal control procedures and SOPs
Provide professional level of customer service to all internal and external customers and report customer matters and/or concerns to supervisor promptly
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Operation Management/Logistics/Supply Chain/Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Logistics or warehouse industry, experience in FMCG or health care and skincare industry is preferred.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in leveraging data analytics for process optimization. Proficient in MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint is a must, experience in Power BI and Inventory System such as SAP, Oracle, or similar systems is an added advantage
Language Skills: Fluent in Cantonese. Proficiency in English and Mandarin is highly desirable.
Skills: Self-Disciplines with good communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to work with cross-functional teams and markets.
