The Director, Sponsored Fiscal Operations - Billing is responsible for overseeing the billing teams for the university’s sponsored projects within the Enterprise for Research, Innovation and Knowledge under the direction of the Associate Vice President of Finance and Business Administration; leads a highly qualified project billing team within Sponsored Fiscal Operations; oversees project billing compliance and operations; oversees the coordination, development and implementation of systems aimed at continuous improvement of services to the research community; identifies opportunities for improved efficiencies and partners with the Director of Operational Excellence to implement change strategies in alignment with ERIK; establishes objectives, policies, procedures, priorities, standards and schedules within the parameters set by sponsors, University, and state and federal regulations; analyzes and determines the fiscal services and procurement needs of the research community; formulates and develops plans, procedures, and programs to meet specific needs; oversees the professional development and performance of sponsored fiscal operations team, partnering with the managers to identify opportunities; oversees all recruitment, onboarding, and training; partners with the Office of Sponsored Programs, working closely with sponsored program officers; collaborates with the Bursar’s Office and other finance personnel throughout the university; works with ERIK leadership, Human Resources, and Employee Labor Relations, as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties:

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
10 years of relevant work experience.
Desired Qualifications:
Advanced degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
15 years of relevant work experience.

Additional Information:
The targeted hiring pay range is $138,600-$182,300. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's education and relevant work experience.
This position is meant to be onsite at our Mount Hall building location.
