Structural Drafter

Description

As a Structural Drafter, you will create electronic design plans using computer software and work closely with Engineers to turn blueprints and technical drawings into 2D/3D computer models.
What are the core responsibilities for the role?
Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines, answering to various engineers and project managers
Drafting and design work for a variety of projects across multiple disciplines
Working in structural and architectural detailing and other associated items
Create/Modify technical drawings of water retention structures, buildings, bridges, vaults, standard details, etc.
Collaborate with engineers to ensure that the drawings are correct and represent the design accurately
Compiling and maintaining the entire plan set of technical drawings
Coordination with other technicians on projects that support more than just structural design
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit
Manage project data files from various sources
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings; ability to think 3-dimensionally
Must be able to work independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks, with competing priorities
Be a professional, creative, team-focused individual that works well with others in a team environment
Be enthusiastic, dedicated, and self-disciplined to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Associates degree or equivalent technical degree
3 to 12 years of experience
