About the Role

Central Texas Recruiting is seeking a Network Engineer II to support a high-impact mission in Linthicum Heights, MD. This hands-on role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining advanced network infrastructures to meet performance, scalability, and security requirements in support of critical intelligence operations.

You’ll work closely with engineering teams to optimize network performance, implement fault-tolerant topologies, and ensure uninterrupted mission operations. Ideal candidates will bring expertise in Cisco/Juniper environments, secure network configurations, and real-time troubleshooting across WAN and LAN systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable network solutions

Configure firewalls, VPNs, NAT, and load balancing to support server and data requirements

Monitor network performance and implement improvements to reduce latency and maximize throughput

Collaborate with system engineering and dataflow teams to support mission operations

Deploy and maintain a variety of network devices and technologies

Configure end-to-end network connections between front-end and back-end systems

Support WAN and LAN design for fault tolerance and high-speed data transfer

Analyze system requirements and troubleshoot network issues

Develop network architectures from concept through deployment

Qualifications & Requirements

U.S. Citizenship Required

️ Active TS/SCI Clearance with CI Polygraph (within 6 years)

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field

8+ years of experience as a Network Engineer across complex system architectures

3+ years of direct experience supporting IC or SIGINT-related programs

Technical Skills:

Strong background with Cisco IOS or JunOS environments

Proficient in VLAN configuration, Ethernet trunking, and multi-vendor network setups

Experience with NAT, routing protocols, and network optimization

Familiar with network analysis tools and test gear

Skilled in end-to-end performance tuning and network troubleshooting

Certifications Required:

DoD IAT Level II Certification (Active)

Active Cisco Certification
