JOB TITLE: Lead Avionics Technician

PAY RATE: Up to $93,000/year

Summary:
Complete all tasks promptly and in compliance with FAA regulations, customer guidelines, and company policies
Review customer and FAA documentation to ensure proper maintenance records and compliance
Oversee and co-sign work of uncertified mechanics per RSM procedures
Perform and approve maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations within certification limits
Provide On-the-Job Training (OJT) and mentorship to team members
Actively participate in maintenance tasks as a hands-on member of the crew
Apply intermediate knowledge of all aircraft systems and assigned work areas
Use and maintain avionics hand tools to perform repairs and installations
Prepare routine reports and documentation
Fabricate wire bundles and assemblies per drawings and industry standards, including wire marking, bundling, and connector terminations
Diagnose problems, repair or replace parts, and perform necessary testing and adjustments
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of avionics experience
Proficiency in the Standard Wiring Practices Manual
A or A&P License is preferred
B1, B1.1, and/or B2 certification is a plus
Must qualify as a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Political Asylee) per ITAR requirements
Proficient in English (read, write, speak)
Basic math skills for technical problem solving
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Willingness to travel and work overtime
Compliant with DOT/FAA Drug and Alcohol Testing Program
Able to climb ladders and step stools
Able to lift up to 50 lbs independently and 75 lbs with assistance
Ability to reach overhead and work in confined or non-dust-free environments
Normal or corrected vision
Full hand motion and dexterity
Ability to work in kneeling, stooping, or standing positions for extended periods
