Application Developer

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an Application Developer for the Department of Defense (DoD) DMDC Enterprise Law Enforcement Support Services (ELEs2) program. In this role, you will provide application development and maintenance services for enterprise data services to include new design and development and maintaining and enhancing existing applications. You will provide the services required to successfully implement and deliver application software solutions to the products you will be supporting. The solutions need to be stable, reliable, scalable, well documented, and of high quality. You will be responsible for coding, unit testing, integration testing, bug fixes, implementation, as well as ongoing support for the product delivered.

What You’ll Do:

Leverage your in-depth knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems including knowledge of data modeling concepts, ERD design and development .

Develop enterprise Java solutions following standard/best practices including Object Oriented Analysis and Design and design patterns.

Possess a strong understanding and working knowledge on Software Development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile/Scrum)

Utilize programming skills in Java and Java EE.

Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree

Ability to achieve Public Trust

Must be a U.S Citizen

Experience in leveraging AI in software development include:

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java,

Familiarity in integrating AI models through APIs or SDKs

NIPRGPT, CAMOCGP, OpenAI, Hugging Face, TensorFlow

Experience with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot

Codeium

Machine learning concepts

prompt engineering

Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques

Developers should demonstrate the ability to optimize software workflows using AI for code generation, testing, debugging, and documentation, while ensuring secure, explainable, and ethical AI use within the development lifecycle

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
