Responsibilities for Night Security Team Lead
Lead and supervise a team of security guards across assigned locations/shifts.
Develop and maintain duty rosters, shift schedules, and task assignments.
Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Train new security personnel and provide ongoing coaching and performance evaluations.
Conduct regular patrols and inspections to ensure all areas are secure.
Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, or emergencies and document detailed reports.
Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.
Maintain records of daily activities, incident reports, and investigations.
Conduct risk assessments and recommend security improvements.
Ensure the security team presents a professional image at all times.
Qualifications for Night Security Team Lead
1 to 3 years experience in personnel management in a unionized environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills (English an asset)
Valid Alberta security guard license and first aid card
Available to work flexible hours
Proven experience in a security role, preferably with supervisory responsibilities.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of security operations, safety practices, and emergency response.
Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make quick decisions.
Basic computer skills for report writing and scheduling.
