Job Summary

The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct HR functions and projects, to help improve employee offerings, structure, and culture within the John Brothers Holding Company. This shall include, but not be limited to, enforcing companies' policies and practices, managing benefits, organizational structure, recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, and keeping the company within compliance for all locations.

Responsibilities

•Partner with the senior leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, organizational structure, scale and growth from an HR function, and retention across multiple divisions.

•Oversee employee-relations activities and programs including but not limited to employee counseling, interpretation of policies, new employee orientation, and employee recognition programs.

•Manages talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, non-exempt, and professional roles.

•Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law to give the company the best footing in market.

Supervisory Responsibilities

•Directly supervises administrative staff as designated within HR function and scope, in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable practices.

•Responsibilities include training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and progressive disciplinary action as needed; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education/Experience

•Ability to work with all levels of an organization.

•Construction and/or manufacturing background with applicable experience in HR a must

•Associate degree in Human Resources or Business Administration and a minimum of three years of human resource management experience.

•Thorough understanding of human resources principles and practices, including but not limited to organizational structure, HRIS utilization and administration, benefits programming, employee development, and culture enrichment.

•Recruitment background and proficiency in sourcing talent

•Proven leadership and business acumen skills, with strong interpersonal skillset.

•Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating team members, direct and indirect.

•Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.

•Creative, flexible, excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

•Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Physical Requirements

•Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

•Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
