Position Overview:

The Emergency Room consists of 12 beds dedicated to caring for critically ill adult patients. You will play a vital role in delivering top-notch medical care, adhering to established nursing practices, and working within the framework of our organization's values and mission.

Utilize critical thinking skills and exhibit decisive judgment with minimal supervision.

Thrive in a high-pressure environment and respond effectively to situations as they arise.

Demonstrate computer proficiency essential for maintaining accurate patient records.

Execute care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.

Document all aspects of patient care provided.

Monitor, assess, and communicate patient conditions to relevant care team members, physicians, patients, and families.

Assist patients in their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for seamless patient care, including transfers and discharge planning.

Evaluate the educational needs of patients and families, providing tailored education based on individual circumstances.

Act as an advocate for the physical and emotional health of every patient.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Associate's degree required

Bachelor's degree preferred

Certifications:

ACLS, BCLS, PALS; NIHSS certification required within 90 days of hiring

License:

Must hold a Registered Nurse license valid in the state of Kentucky
