Pastor’s Executive Assistant - 20 Hours Weekly - $30,000 - $32,000 - Portland, OR

The Role

Do you have a welcoming heart and a genuine interest in helping others? Are you skilled in composing, creating and editing newsletters and announcements?

We are looking for a Pastor’s Executive Assistant to offer administrative support to the Lead and Associate Pastors at St. Luke Lutheran Church. This role will assist the Pastors in providing connection and service to our faith community and the world beyond our walls.

Key Responsibilities

Create, format and update e-newsletters and announcements for the congregation.

Create, format and print weekly worship bulletins.

Support pastoral staff with administrative needs.

Coordinate visitations and meetings on pastors’ behalf via email and phone communication; maintain pastors’ calendars.

Collaborate with church staff through Google Drive and email.

Organize Zoom meetings as needed.

Update content on church website using Subsplash.

Maintain church calendar.

Create brochures for St. Luke ministries.

Answer church phone and perform reception duties as needed.

Attend weekly staff meetings.
