Arrowhead Talent Solutions is assisting a growing mid-sized manufacturer in the greater Akron area to fill an on-site Human Resources Manager to join their outstanding team of professionals.

Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to lead the human resources function at our manufacturing facility. The HR Manager will be responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that support the company's business objectives, foster a positive and productive work environment, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This role will oversee all aspects of HR, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits administration, and HRIS management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition: Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for all levels of manufacturing and administrative roles, including job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding. Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.

Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns. Mediate and resolve employee relations issues, conduct thorough investigations when necessary, and ensure fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures.

Performance Management: Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, regular feedback, performance appraisals, and the development of performance improvement plans when needed. Work with managers to enhance employee performance and productivity.

Training and Development: Identify training and development needs within the organization and develop and implement programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance. This includes technical training relevant to manufacturing processes, leadership development, and safety training.

Compensation and Benefits: Administer the company's compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and aligned with the company's overall strategy. This includes managing payroll interfaces, benefits enrollment, and addressing employee inquiries related to compensation and benefits.

HRIS Management: Oversee the maintenance and utilization of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to ensure accurate employee data, generate reports, and streamline HR processes.

Policy Development and Implementation: Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that are in compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations. Ensure consistent application of policies across the organization.

Compliance and Legal: Stay abreast of relevant labor laws and regulations (eg, EEOC, FLSA, OSHA) and ensure the company's HR practices are in compliance. Manage worker's compensation claims and unemployment processes.

Safety and Health: Collaborate with the safety department to promote a safe and healthy work environment. Participate in safety meetings and initiatives as needed.

Employee Engagement: Develop and implement initiatives to foster a positive and engaged workforce, improve employee morale, and reduce turnover.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.

Minimum of 4+ years of progressive HR experience in manufacturing.

Minimum of 3+ years leadership experience

Proven ability to manage employee relations issues effectively and impartially.

Experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.

Proficiency in using HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
