CNC Router Operator and ProgrammerSummary:

We are need of CNC Operator Programmers that will be responsible for overseeing the daily functions of manufacturing machinery. Duties include running tests before the start of operations, programming and monitoring machines when assembling products and inspecting machinery at the end of each shift to identify parts needing repair. Control the safe and efficient management of machinery and assembly equipment to create various products. Review machine manuals to determine the correct method for operations and pre-program machines to perform tasks at specific intervals. May also be responsible for requesting new machine parts and conducting standard repairs on machines.

Job Duties:

Primary Duties:

Machine wood parts to specifications, using CNC Router.

Set up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools used to perform precision machining operations.

Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines.

Measure, examine, or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications.

Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.

Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition.

Do preventative maintenance on CNC Router daily / weekly / monthly

Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine methods or sequences of operations needed to fabricate products.

Operate equipment to verify operational efficiency.

QC parts to ensure within specification.

Diagnose machine tool malfunctions to determine need for adjustments or repairs.

Design fixtures, tooling, or experimental parts to meet special engineering needs.

Effectively communicate with engineering, supervisory, or manufacturing personnel

Proven ability using Mastercam and Solidworks.

Run Edgebander, Bevel, and other manufacturing activities when not active in programming, maintaining or running CNC Router.

Responsible for Dust Collector and Air Compressors and communicate with supervisor status and required work for these areas.

Able to lift 40 lbs.

Qualifications:

Proven ability using Mastercam and Solidworks.

1 Year of CNC Experience

1 Year of CNC Programming a Plus

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency

Related experience

Ability to work overtime as needed

Essential Skills:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple step instructions

Ability to multitask

Ability to pay attention to surroundings

Basic math skills

Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is frequently required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee regularly lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The employee is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and can be exposed to climates consistent with outside weather conditions.
