Position Summary
The Information Technology Director (ITD) is a strategic-minded, hands-on leader responsible for execution of the technology vision at Direct Marketing Solutions (DMS). This role oversees the full spectrum of IT infrastructure, including a hybrid on-premises and cloud environment, a VMware-based data center, enterprise networking, cybersecurity, and end-user computing. The ITD leads the IT team to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance technology services that support business operations and growth across the organization. Collaborating cross-functionally and managing external service providers, the ITD ensures that technology enables and accelerates business goals through innovation, efficiency, and resilience.
Essential Functions
Leads the IT department in the delivery of reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure services across the organization.
Works closely with the CIO in providing and supporting vision and direction for IT operations, with focus on system integrity, uptime, user satisfaction, and cybersecurity.
Executes the Company's strategic technology roadmap and supports alignment with business goals, including digital transformation and modernization initiatives.
Plans for scalable infrastructure and systems to support company growth, remote/hybrid work, and evolving business needs.
Champions cybersecurity initiatives in partnership with the Information Security Manager, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal security standards.
Fosters strong cross-departmental relationships to ensure IT delivers value to internal and external stakeholders.
Serves as a technology partner to department heads, understanding their objectives and recommending solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
Manages the enterprise virtualized environment (VMware) hosting over 150 servers and supporting 200+ end-user workstations.
Oversees the hybrid Azure/Office 365 cloud environment, including Azure AD integration with on-premises Active Directory.
Ensures the performance of IT systems through metrics, audits, and performance reviews, while proactively identifying areas for improvement.
Develops and maintains IT policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring they are followed by all department members.
Recommends hardware, software, and service enhancements; manages procurement in collaboration with Finance and Operations.
Provides leadership, guidance, and support to IT staff; oversees onboarding, training, and career development per related DMS policies and procedures.
Supervises MSP relationships responsible for managing core network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, PRTG monitoring, and data backup operations.
Develops and manages the IT department's operational and capital budgets; track expenditures, forecast future needs, and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
Contributes to, and leads as assigned, cross-functional initiatives that require IT involvement, ensuring alignment between technology and business goals.
Monitors industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions that improve efficiency and resilience.
As assigned, represents the IT function in leadership meetings, strategic planning sessions, and company-wide initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities
Completes additional assignments and special projects from the Chief Information Officer as needed.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information technology, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience commensurate with job requirements may be considered.
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive IT leadership experience in a mid-sized or enterprise environment.
Proven track record of planning and execution of IT roadmaps aligned with organizational goals.
Extensive experience managing hybrid cloud environments, including Azure, Office 365, and on-premises infrastructure.
Strong technical expertise in VMware-based virtualization, Active Directory, networking, and enterprise IT operations.
Demonstrated support and collaboration with corporate security function in cybersecurity planning and compliance.
Demonstrated skills in IT service delivery, ITIL practices, and process optimization.
Experience overseeing third-party vendors and MSPs, including contract negotiation and SLA management.
Adept at leading and developing diverse IT teams through coaching, mentorship, and performance management.
Strong understanding and experience with ERP systems, in either leading or supporting capacity.
Strong financial acumen for IT budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Certifications (one or more of the following):
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert
VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)
ITIL Foundation or higher-level IT service management certification
CISSP, CISM, or comparable cybersecurity management certification
(Optional) Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent Agile/Lean certification
