Purpose
The Project Analyst is responsible for analyzing, leading, and organizing successful execution of new & existing bids by working with various departments and providing analytical & administrative support.
Principal Responsibilities
Coordinate/Manage incoming bids with sales, business development, purchasing, pricing & sourcing, quality, and other departments to support the RFQ process from start to finish
Create, set-up, and maintain all bid related worksheets within the use of Microsoft Excel
Maintain and update metric data of all bids at each stage
Set-up kick-off or internal meetings within various departments, as needed
Closely work with the Sales Analytics Manager for data analysis and interpretation of each bid
Work directly with various departments, providing timely and accurate responses
Monitor and track bid timeline and target due dates
Provide bid updates and/or data metrics reporting
Coordinate with Business Development Team on specifics of targeted bids
Create and use Excel worksheets using formulas, functions, and pivot tables
Attend weekly team meetings, conduct special projects as assigned
Nature and Scope
The nature of this role is to be skilled at providing a high element of organizational support during the life cycle of all bids. Developing new methods to report on Metrics is paramount as limited resources will be allocated based on Customer Performance. The applicant should have a high level of reading, comprehension, and analytical interpretation. He or she should be very comfortable working in a team environment and working with Microsoft Office programs. The individual will have to be highly independent to proactively evaluate and find patterns and or other key features of customer activity that would aid in forming a more structed strategy on Bid Approaches. The individual will be responsible for developing through data metrics, KPI’s to any are of the Bid Team’s processes. KPI data will be shared with executive leadership.
The individual will spend all of their time in an office environment using standard office equipment. Mental demands include the ability to work under moderate stress.
Requirements:
Basic analytics experience or knowledge, preferred 5 years’ experience
Must have advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Excel software
Basic computer skills such as Email, Internet, and Microsoft Word
Experience with inventory software helpful
High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The ability to work as part of a team
Willingness to continue training and development to self-enhance personal performance
