What You’ll Do

As a Senior Software Engineer for Marketplaces, you'll have the chance to make a real impact on the future of Trader Interactive. You'll help implement new technologies and ideas in our various marketplaces, working with a strong team to turn them into reality. You’ll collaborate with other engineers and architects to grow your skills while mentoring junior engineers. In a fast-paced, Agile environment, you’ll contribute to design documents and planning that align with critical path goals. You’ll work with a combination of modern frameworks and cloud technologies, while also supporting and modernizing legacy systems

Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Partner with your technical lead and the product team to design elegant solutions to complex problems

Contribute to the design, implementation and maintenance of high-availability software solutions at scale

Mentor more junior engineers on the team

Actively participate in daily standups, code reviews, demos and other collaborations

Document processes and procedures to ensure continuity

Plan and carry out information security strategies

What We’re Looking For

4+ years experience working with HTML, CSS and Javascript/Typescript

2+ years experience with a major UX framework (Vue preferred)

2+ years of experience with PHP preferred

Demonstrable experience implementing various design patterns and why/when to use them

Experience with writing Unit Tests (PHPUnit, etc.)

Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences

Knowledge of modern web application development practices and microservices architectures

Bonus Points:

Experience working with Nuxt/Vue3

Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and other DevOps tools

Experience working with Redis

Experience working with MySQL
