Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Logic Monitoring Lead to spearhead the design, deployment, and management of enterprise-level network and infrastructure monitoring solutions. The ideal candidate will lead a team of monitoring specialists and collaborate with IT operations, DevOps, and application teams to ensure end-to-end observability, proactive alerting, and fast incident resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the network and infrastructure monitoring strategy using tools such as LogicMonitor, SolarWinds, Nagios, Datadog, etc.
Develop custom monitoring logic, dashboards, alerting thresholds, and escalation workflows.
Define and implement logic-based rules for automated anomaly detection and root cause analysis.
Collaborate with network engineering and cloud teams to ensure complete coverage across on-prem and cloud infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and resolve monitoring gaps, false positives/negatives, and performance bottlenecks.
Perform regular health checks, tuning, and optimization of monitoring systems.
Train and mentor a team of monitoring analysts and engineers.
Generate meaningful reports and KPIs to help drive uptime, SLA adherence, and capacity planning.
Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response efforts as required.
Required Skills:
8+ years in IT infrastructure, with at least 3 years in a monitoring lead or architect role.
Expertise with LogicMonitor is highly preferred; experience with similar tools (SolarWinds, Zabbix, Prometheus, Splunk, etc.) is a plus.
Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, load balancers, and cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash for custom monitoring scripts and automation.
Familiarity with SNMP, WMI, Syslog, NetFlow, and API-based integrations.
Experience with ITIL processes, especially incident, change, and problem management.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
LogicMonitor Certified Professional (LMCP) or equivalent certification.
Experience with CMDB and ITSM tools like ServiceNow.
Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, or SRE practices is a plus.
