Position Overview

The Senior Corporate Finance Manager will report to the CFO and be responsible for optimal capital planning and structuring, assisting on M&A transactions, developing and implementing treasury strategies to optimize liquidity, maximize returns on investments, manage cashflow and covenant forecasting, ensure sufficient liquidity, implement hedging strategies, oversee banking relationships, evaluate treasury management systems and other financial technologies to streamline processes. The Senior Corporate Finance Manager will also provide accurate and timely reporting, be effective in their engagement with stakeholders and design appropriate financial corporate policies, guidelines and procedures for a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

Provide the appropriate level of financial management and governance together with commercial insights and value add to the Executive Team and broader business leadership.

Drive business optimization initiatives with a strong lens on growing the business, while remaining within the risk appetite as defined by the CEO and Board of Managers

Develop concise and meaningful KPIs, systems/processes, controls, procedures, and reports to accurately and timely monitor and report operational and financial results against budget, plan and forecast

Commitment to innovation and review in ensuring continuous improvement in operational processes

Assist with developing the company’s budget and 5-year business plan where required

Develop appropriate dashboards to manage working capital and financial performance

Monitor the financial and capital strategy of FiberLight and keep the Executive Team and the Board informed as of compliance with key financial covenants and limits

Lead capital structure and debt refinancing strategies to ensure the business maintains a flexible capital structure and funding to meet its growth objectives'

Manage, implement and improve the company’s treasury cash management strategies

Monitor cash flow, credit and collections, analyzing daily cash balances, and customer payment processing/application to customer balances

Perform cash, working capital and covenant forecasting

Develop and execute on hedging strategies

Manage relationships with key lenders

Responsible for meeting all reporting requirements for lenders

Evaluate M&A opportunities

Evaluate key large scale projects and continue to track financial performance of these projects post-award

Co-ordination with the Executive Leadership Team and the Sales teams on financial implications of pipeline of large scale projects

Prepare board materials required to approve large capital projects

Qualifications

Degree in Finance or Business

CFA qualification preferred

8+ years of relevant experience within Finance with extensive experience in financial management, treasury, corporate finance/investment banking

Advanced modelling skills including a high level of proficiency in Excel

Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint with the ability to create and present executive level presentations;

Experience of working in businesses characterized by recurring capital-intensive transactions, including for example, telecommunications, and major infrastructure businesses, together with relevant adjacencies

Experience working with private equity owners

A strong understanding of GAAP and tax would be looked upon favorably

Interpersonal skills / personal attributes

Strategically minded and focused on extracting and correlating financial figures to help the business make relevant decisions, which are closely aligned with its strategic outcomes

Articulate, credible and proactive in their approach and, most importantly, to have a thorough understanding of where the business can create value and progress against its objectives

An entrepreneurial and dynamic individual with the ability to work at pace and be ahead of the curve. They will bring a strong future focus, with the ability to think two or three steps ahead

Tactical and prepared to get hands on and involved

Project management and organizational skills

Familiarity with the nuances and expectations of working in a privately owned organization and addressing multiple senior stakeholders
