Position Information:
As the Director of Accounting and Finance, you will oversee the company’s full financial landscape—including reporting, strategy, planning, analysis, compliance, costing, and team leadership. You’ll work hand-in-hand with the executive team to shape the strategic direction of the business, while ensuring we remain agile, informed, and fiscally sound.
This role requires a strong balance of high-level strategic thinking and hands-on financial execution, as well as the ability to collaborate across departments to improve financial performance, support sustainable growth, and ensure operational alignment.
Essential Functions:
Financial Reporting & Strategy
Lead accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting.
Present monthly results to the executive team, providing analysis and insights on key performance indicators (KPIs).
Offer data-driven guidance to support strategic decision-making and maintain a healthy cash position. Margin Analysis & Pricing
Conduct detailed margin analysis to ensure product profitability.
Collaborate with Sales and Product Management to evaluate pricing decisions and margin trade-offs.
Build financial models to guide strategic pricing and support long-term growth. Product Costing
Review labor, burden, and press rates quarterly; annually assess mold, freight, quality, and shared cost allocations.
Conduct monthly cost roll reviews to ensure cost accuracy and provide actionable insights. Budgeting & Forecasting
Lead the development of a 12-month rolling budget, quarterly target setting, and KPI tracking.
Partner with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to maintain a rolling forecast aligned with strategic goals.
Conduct variance analysis and share performance updates with key stakeholders. Financial Compliance & Treasury Management
Oversee audits, internal controls, expense management, banking relationships, and insurance.
Manage cash flow, payments, and secure execution of wire transfers.
Partner with CPA firms to ensure ongoing compliance and financial integrity. Policy & Team Leadership
Evaluate and improve financial processes, procedures, and departmental performance.
Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team through coaching, training, and mentorship.
Implement best practices and modernize financial operations where appropriate. Strategic Leadership
Actively participate in executive meetings (including L10), providing financial insight to support high-impact decisions.
Engage in M&A activities and strategic initiatives using tools like EOS, 4DX, and our 26 Fundamentals.
Influence company-wide strategies and drive cross-functional collaboration for continued success. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
10+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Strong understanding of manufacturing cost accounting, margin analysis, and forecasting
Proven ability to lead teams, build strategic plans, and influence executive decision-making
Familiarity with EOS/Traction, 4DX, or similar business operating systems is a plus
Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills Job Type:
Full-time, Salaried, Exempt Pay Range:
$125,000.00 - $150,000.00 Annual Base Pay
Our executive incentive program offers a generous monthly payout based on the previous month's financial performance.
Base pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job. Benefits:
