The Role - What’s the job?
This position is the primary leader for strategic workforce planning, recruiting, talent management, performance management and labor relations (in a union environment).
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as the primary representative for the company regarding labor relations in a union environment.
Acts as a trusted advisor for the plant manager and leadership site positions…being consulted on hiring, retention and engagement strategies
Ensures the company adheres to the agreed collective bargaining agreements.
Ensures compliance with Corporate Internal Control Reference Framework (ICRF), in control areas of HR Policy and Organization.
Provides employees benefits administration and support.
Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other concerns.
Manages the staffing process, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding/offboarding.
Investigation and resolution of employee concerns and conflicts.
Coordinate the performance management evaluations and salary reviews of Salaried employees.
Maintain employee records, Org Charts, HR Systems and processes.
Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state and federal regulations
Design and implement employee retention strategies (Strategic Workforce Plan)
Requirements - What do you bring?
4-year Degree in Human Resources or related field
5+ Years demonstrated HR Experience
SHRM/PHR certified preferred
Knowledge of HR Systems and databases
Demonstrable experience with Human Resource metrics
In-depth knowledge of labor law and best practices
Experience with labor relations in a union environment
Familiarity with MS Office applications (word, excel, outlook, power-point)
Kronos/UKG timekeeping experience is preferred
Pay Transparency
Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. The national pay range for this position is $89,500 to $138,500 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 12% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The total target cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $100,240 to $155,120.
