The Paint Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the paint department operations on either 1st or 2nd shift, ensuring high-quality finishes, efficiency, and adherence to safety and environmental regulations. This role involves managing a team of painters, coordinating workflow, and troubleshooting issues to maintain productivity and quality standards. Requirements:
Supervise and coordinate daily operations in the paint department for the assigned shift.
Ensure all painting processes meet quality standards and production goals.
Oversee surface preparation, paint application, and curing processes to maintain a high-quality finish.
Train, mentor, and evaluate paint team members to improve performance and skills.
Monitor and maintain paint equipment, ensuring proper functionality and minimal downtime.
Implement safety procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company regulations.
Collaborate with other departments, including maintenance and quality control, to resolve production issues.
Conduct inspections and audits to identify defects and areas for process improvement.
Maintain production records and prepare reports for management on shift performance and any challenges.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or paint department setting required.
Strong knowledge of industrial painting processes, materials, and equipment.
Experience with robotic and manual paint applications preferred.
Understanding of safety and environmental regulations related to paint operations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Willingness to work flexible shifts and overtime as needed.
