Summary: *NIGHT Shift* Demonstrates knowledge of all clinical areas of the department, including obtaining arterial, venous and capillary blood for blood gas analysis. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary for complete pulmonary function analysis, with and without bronchodilators. Knowledgeable of clinical interpretation in these areas for physician consultation as necessary. Will have knowledge of operation, maintenance and troubleshooting the variety of equipment utilized in the Cardiopulmonary Department. Demonstrates ability to perform thorough patient assessments. Demonstrates technical skills and clinical knowledge in the practice of Respiratory Care. Able to apply principles of logic or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Able to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, graphs, etc.) in its most difficult phases. Willing to act in accordance with the Coryell Health's Legal Compliance Program with emphasis on the confidentiality, antidiscrimination and conflict of interest policies.
Requirements
NBRC Certification required, RRT or CRT
Licensed to practice in the State of Texas, RCP.
ACLS and PALS Certifications required within 6 months of employment
Working knowledge of cardiac rhythms and parameters.
