For those still in the process of attaining certification, please know that the North Plainfield District is approved for participation in the NJDOE Limited Certificate Program which may allow you to work in a full time role as you complete your final certification requirement.
Qualifications Include:
Teacher of Biological Science Certification required.
Biology teaching experience preferred.
Bilingual candidates preferred.
The ideal candidate:
has experience teaching Biology.
has an understanding of pedagogical best practices, with an ongoing desire for professional development and growth.
has a strong working knowledge of the NJ Student Learning Standards and Next Generation Science Standards
selects instructional strategies that actively engage students in phenomenon-based and inquiry-driven learning
continuously monitors the social and emotional needs of students and implements relevant strategies into daily lessons
will be an enthusiastic and collaborative member of school, grade-level, and content area Professional Learning Communities
Salary: $66,765 (minimum) to $99,470 (maximum) commensurate with experience
