Job Title: Quality Assurance Assistant Manager
Location: San Antonio, TX
Duration: Full-Time Permanent
Pay Range: $50k - $75K Annually + Benefits- MAX
Summary:
The Assistant QC Manager ensures production and distribution meet or exceed quality standards while complying with company and regulatory guidelines.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years managing Quality & Food Safety in a sous vide food manufacturing environment.
Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office. Education:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science OR 5 years' experience as a Quality Control Technician in the food industry. Shift Openings:
2 PM - 11 PM or 10 PM - 7 AM Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Food Quality & Safety.
Identify areas for improvement in quality programs and communicate changes effectively.
Supervise, train, and review Quality Control staff.
Investigate customer complaints and internal issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Review production & quality records, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, customer requirements, and BRC standards.
Oversee pre-requisite programs (supplier approval, pest control, sanitation, environmental/product testing, allergens).
Perform other duties as assigned by management
