TITLE: EXTENDED SCHOOL YEAR SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST
QUALIFICATIONS: As set by state certification authorities; Speech Language Pathologist preferred.
REPORTS TO: Director of Special Services; Assistant Director
JOB GOAL: Help students having communication disorders achieve communication that will enable them to derive success from the District's educational programs commensurate with their capabilities while permitting satisfaction to themselves, and benefit to society.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide individual and/or group therapy for identified students in the ESY program.
Initiate, maintain, and continually up-date therapy data related to identified short and long term goals and objectives.
Reviewsrelevant case files including school and health records.
Guide, assist, and consult, when needed, with principals, teachers, other school personnel, and parents.
Plan and participate in IEP meeting as needed.
Completes reports and other school related paperwork as required, at or before the time requested.
Establishes and maintains cooperative relations with co-workers.
Accepts the responsibility and arrives punctually for activities and duties as assigned.
Maintains appropriate emotional stability, physical health, personal appearance, and personality.
Maintains order in therapy sessions in a fair and just manner.
TIMES/DATES: Mon.-Thurs. 7:30 am - 12:00 pm; June 2-26, 2025
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of certified personnel.
