HumanIT is seeking a Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer to support a mission remotely. In this role, you will be supporting and potentially leading a development team through day-to-day operations throughout the complete development cycle. You will be responsible for setting up and managing the development environment, configuring, and maintaining cloud services, and managing CI/CD pipelines for management of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) baseline. Candidates will need to have experience working with software development teams, maintaining compliance and security controls, monitoring operations, and improving development processes when needed. You must be highly organized and competent in Agile and DevSecOps principles. Successful candidates will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Position Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

Mid-Level Experience in the Following:

Experience with commercial cloud service providers (AWS Preferred, Azure or GCP).

Security mindset, experience remedying vulnerabilities (Security auditing experience).

Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or other cloud hosted products such as Code Pipeline, and Code Deploy.

Experience in code control and archival (Github Preferred)

Basic experience with containers and container orchestration systems (Docker, Kubernetes).

Experience setting up monitoring tools at an end user level, and enterprise level.

Experience using scripting languages to automate routine tasks (Python preferred).

Experience deploying and maintaining highly available fault-tolerant systems at scale.

Excellent end user troubleshooting skills.

Experience with Agile software development processes.

Effective communication skills.

Strong ability and desire to work across teams, and with clients.

Exceptional technical writing skills.

Experience with one or more of the following OS is required: Linux (Redhat or Centos preferred), Windows

Required Service Experience in the following (other Cloud provider tech is sufficient):

Jenkins, Github, VPC, EC2, EBS, RDS, SecurityHub, CloudWatch Desired Skills:

Infrastructure as code

Prior leadership role

Experience working on DoD/Federal development projects

Experience being a part of a development pipeline to 'Go-Live'

Experience deploying and working with Appian platform

Experience with Databases and SQL

Experience using Jira and Confluence

Desired Service Experience in the following:

ELB, Endpoint Services, IAM, Route 53, S3, SNS, Lambda, CloudWatch, Cloud Trail, KMS

Education:?3-5 years' experience with Bachelors in related field or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience. The Bachelor's degree needs to be in computer science, mathematics, software engineering, or related discipline.
