GlassRatner Capital Group, LLC and Farber Associates are in search of an experienced HR Manager. Our organizations have locations in the USA and Canada and provide a variety of specialty financial services and solutions for lenders, law firms, private equity sponsors and various companies. These services include restructuring and turnaround management, forensic accounting, litigation support, compliance risk and resilience services, transactional support services, and valuation and appraisal.
**We are seeking a full-time HR Manager based in our Atlanta, Georgia office. **
POSITION OVERVIEW:
You will be responsible for managing the overall direction and guidance of the human resources function and serving as a business partner to the senior leadership team.
This position will require the HR Manager to have deep understanding of all aspects of HR in both the USA and Canada, including the management of Human Resources policies and processes, benefits management, HCM solutions, payroll, and have strong people leadership.
The position is responsible for the development and implementation of all Human Resources compliance, policies, employee engagement, compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, retention, performance management, employee relations, change management, culture, learning and development and succession planning.
This position will have responsibility to enforce Human Resource legal and regulatory compliance per US and Canada employment laws and regulations.
DUTIES:
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
Be a trusted advisor and business partner to senior organizational leadership on employee related matters.
Work directly with senior leadership to guide employee relations practices managing complex and/or sensitive employee relations matters, drive key initiatives across respect in the workplace, etc.
Provide strategic planning, development, and direction for the human resources function for all locations in Canada and the United States.
Manage the employee benefits strategy including retirement, health & welfare working with third parties to deliver services, whilst managing costs and the full offering.
Manage any third-party vendors/outsourced service providers to ensure service quality and delivery meets standards.
Provide overall direction to the human resources team and manages service.
Oversee all HR activities in accordance with policies, processes and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
Occasional travel throughout Canada and the US, as required and possibly on short notice, to meet immediate business needs. SKILLS:
Must have a sound knowledge of Canada and US employment law requirements.
Experience in HR supporting a professional services organization is a plus.
Experience leading HR through organizational transitions, particularly spin-offs or carve-outs, with demonstrated ability to maintain operational continuity while building independent HR infrastructure.
Ability to develop and implement comprehensive HR frameworks including compensation structures, benefits programs, and talent management systems.
Skilled at managing relationships with new external partners (benefits providers, payroll services, HRIS vendors) to replace shared services previously provided by the parent company.
Proven leadership in establishing HR as a strategic business partner within a newly independent organization, balancing tactical department needs with long-term people strategy.
Experience evaluating inherited HR policies and processes to determine what should be retained, replaced, or built from scratch.
Strong change management capabilities to guide employees through the transition while maintaining engagement and addressing concerns about organizational changes.
Proven management and teamwork skills with demonstrated abilities to be flexible, work collaboratively and comfortable with balancing various business objectives.
Sound relationship management skills, and confidence at operating and influencing at a senior level.
Must have the ability to mentor and train personnel and management to accommodate future growth and expansion.
Demonstrated effective presentation skills and training delivery skills with an ability to tailor presentations to the audience and an ability to effectively influence people at all levels of the organization.
Experience and skill in change management and conflict resolution. EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in management with a concentration in Human Resource Management is preferred although relevant post-secondary education and combination of continuing education and experience may be acceptable.
Minimum of 5 years' human resource management experience in a leadership capacity in positions of increasing responsibility with exposure to US and Canadian operations.
Experience managing multi-site operations (Canada and US) preferred. HUMAN RESOUCE QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS:
CPHR/SHRM designation or other equivalent human resources professional practitioner certification preferred.
PROSCI, CCMP, or other recognize change management certification preferred.
Ability to acquire and maintain eligibility for international travel.
