Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Contract Specialist to provide expert acquisition and contract management support for construction remodeling related projects within the federal government. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and/or Material Management and Acquisition Regulation (MMAR), agency supplements, and demonstrated experience with construction contracting, including pre-award and post-award functions.
This role supports Federal Agency clients in planning, developing, executing, and administering construction contracts for a range of infrastructure and facilities projects. The individual must be adept at managing complex procurements and ensuring compliance with all federal laws and regulations.
Sr. Contract Specialists will perform a wide variety of tasks, spanning all phases of the acquisition life-cycle that support Agency Contracting Officers (CO) to include:
Perform market research to assist with requirements definition and strategic sourcing.
Participate in the development of milestone schedules.
Analyze cost or price proposals and provide recommendations to client.
Prepare and process multiple and varied documents required for all phases of Technical Evaluation of proposals received in response to solicitations.
Provide administrative assistance to client personnel in the preparation of various acquisition-related documents, including acquisition plans, Requests for Proposals (RPF), price evaluation memoranda, selection recommendation reports, agreements, Task Orders (TO), contracts, and modifications.
Coordinate contract close-outs and other administrative actions.
Collect and analyze contract data for reporting purposes.
Maintain physical and electronic records.
Inspect, review, and evaluate contract files for adherence to contract documentation and record keeping requirements.
Perform analysis and provide recommendations related to acquisition policies and procedures.
Assist client with research necessary to respond to internal and external audits. Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree.
7+ years Federal acquisition experience, preferably as Federal government Contract Series, GS-1102-14.
Experience with GSA contracts highly desired.
Demonstrated experience providing acquisition services and oversite for large renovation projects.
