The Director of Digital & Operational Excellence will play a vital role in shaping the future of Solstice Advanced Materials by developing and implementing cutting-edge digital and operational processes. This position is responsible for leading a diverse team of experts in automation, digitalization, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies. The Director will report directly to the VP of Supply Chain within the Spin-off of Solstice Advanced Materials, and will be instrumental in driving performance improvements and achieving strategic objectives.

This role involves not only the leadership and management of the Digital & Operational Excellence team but also the development and implementation of a best-in-class digital infrastructure. The Director will collaborate closely with the Solstice Advanced Materials leadership team to establish foundational manufacturing best practices, and assist with their implementation across the organization. Additionally, the Director will be responsible for identifying and implementing innovative automation solutions to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

Another key aspect of the role is the development and implementation of Operational Execution standards across Solstice Advanced Materials. The Director will work hand-in-hand with site leadership to understand their challenges and devise tailored system solutions to address these issues. Continuous improvement is a core responsibility, as the Director will lead efforts to drive performance enhancements and optimize processes within the organization.

Furthermore, the Director will manage a team of Automation, Digital and Analytics, as well as Operational Excellence leaders, ensuring that their efforts are aligned with the company’s strategic goals. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to achieve performance objectives and deliver impactful results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and manage the Digital & Operational Excellence team within Solstice Advanced Materials

Develop and implement a best-in-class digital infrastructure

Collaborate with Solstice Advanced Materials leadership team to develop foundational manufacturing best practices, then assist with implementation

Identify and implement automation solutions

Develop and implement Operational Execution standards across Solstice Advanced Materials

Collaborate with site leadership to understand their problems, and devise system solutions to solve these problems

Drive continuous improvement

Lead and manage a team of Automation, Digital and Analytics, as well as Operational Excellence leaders

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve performance objectives

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.

MUST HAVE

10+ years of experience in manufacturing

Strong leadership and communication skills

Proven track record of implementing processes and systems

Background using industry best practices like Six Sigma, Lean, Digital tools, Agile

Working knowledge of digital tools, infrastructure, and best practices

Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Engineering or a relevant field

Experience in the advanced materials industry

Six Sigma certification

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
