MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Professional & Technical Skills

One-year experience working with clients in a community-based setting. Highly skilled in the use of personal computers, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office applications. Experience as a Peer Support Specialist. Ability to be on-call for emergencies and work on weekends and public holidays.

Education

High school diploma equivalent.

License(s) or Certification(s)

Peer Support Specialist credential.

Valid driver's license and proof of insurance to be validated at least every six months.

Ability to handle self well in stressful situations; ability to communicate well with others; ability to work individually as well as part of a team; ability to work and communicate effectively with diverse populations; ability to demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and professionalism; ability to multi-task. Life experiences reflective of the community/target population served. Outstanding interpersonal, administrative, and organizational skills. Minimum of 2 years complete sobriety.
